WEEK 17:WEEK OF SUCCESS

The fruit of patience, sacrifices, hard works and late night practices had been served to us this week.

Rest is not present this week for 1A. This week tested each and everyone strong and weaknesses in the multiple activities needed to present. I’m thankful how this school gave such activities wherein all of us are pushed to our limits nor beyond our limits just to stretch us and practice what they so called ” Time Management”

Tuesday this week when Art Exhibit’s takes place for some of the sections handled by Dr. Bunyi and two other professors to let their students showed each and everyone’s gift in terms of arts. Each section created a booth to showcased their artworks such as paintings, photographs, poems , designed bottles and lot more. Performing arts like modelling, dancing and singing are also present in this event.

BSED FAMILY SMILED AS IF IT IS NOT THE START OF STRESSING WEEK

On Wednesday , we are shocked by the comprehensive examination we’ll have to take without that much enough time for us to review. This day thought me and reminds me of the saying, ” Expect the Unexpected”.

A whole day seminar last Thursday on our specialization which is English helps us to improved more with our advisers, Dr. Daran (in the morning) while Dr. Pamin (in the afternoon). But, the performance in Physical Education took our lunch break. ” ‘DI BALE NANG GUTOM, WAG LANG MAWALAN NG GRADE”. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHA.

SMILE AS IF THEY’RE NOT STARVING HAHA

Friday came and it is time for us to bring all the best out of us in Play Presentation. We are the last group to performed our act as a sign of winning. Just like what others are saying, Save the best for last. 1A bagged some awards which are BEST TRAILER, BEST SCRIPTWRITER, BEST SUPPORTING AND BEST ACTRESS, NOTABLE ACTOR AND BEST THEATRICAL PRESENTATION. We are glad that the fruit of our perseverance as an end of this stressful yet challenging week.

A SMILE OF SUCCESS

I’ll just put the picture on the bottom which made this week a very special one.

WEEK 16: CHECK, CHECK, CHECK!

This week tasked is to finally test how far our instincts in answering the hundred plus questions by checking it. I literally don’t know if my answers is correct because it’s not yet been discussed to us but luckily i got almost half of the score. Not bad for me as an average human being hahahaha. It is highly appreciated by us that Mam Gallardo spent time just to assess and check our papers even it’s a rest day fore her. After checking, she gave her remaining time for us to do some other stuffs. That’s how thoughtful and lucky we are to have a professor like her in our second semester.

WEEK 15: ACCRE WEEK

This week seems so easy for us for having one week break from school but the performance task needed to present the following weeks before finals killed our happiness. A lot of time, patience, money, and strength spent by each and everyone in this week really challenge the commitment between us.

Monday is scheduled for the practice of play that is to be present next week. Tuesday is for the skit. Wednesday is for Folk Dancing as a requirement in Physical Education. Thursday,Friday and Saturday is another day for that three performances but Sunday will be still remain as a rest day for us.

Pressure is on for our section as the finals week is waving at us. Will tears are about to come? Well i believed 1A is brave enough to face the stressing week.

WEEK 14: C O N T I N U A T I O N

Still, the absence of our dearest teacher Mrs. Gallardo because of the seminar held in Tagaytay City together with some of the respective professors we have in our university gave me the chance to finish the given activity last week. It also gave us the chance to deeply understand the followed topics after she left through reading.

After i finished that activities,i do things to be done on the same week so that i can say that this is a productive week for me.

Also, this week is one of the best week for us to reminisce the life of Jesus because its Lenten season. It is time for left and side reunions for others but not for me. Friday this week when my friends and i joined the procession and bring rosary for us to pray while walking. It feels good after that simple sacrificed we had done and i’m glad that God used my friends as an instrument to be with me that day.

A little sacrifice, prayers and devotion is not enough for us to payback the life that Jesus gave for us. Faith will always be the best thing we can have as a strong connection to Him.

WEEK 13: A C T I V I T Y

In this week, Ma’am Gallardo together with other faculty members have their meeting for today (Tuesday) that’s why she left us an activity to be answer within this week. I saw that as an self assessment for us if we really understand the lesson about Digital Citizenship we’ve discussed last week.

As i read the questions, it made me realized how many it is for the total of a hundred and five multiple choices questions. Some of the topics of it is not yet been discussed to us that’s why she ( Mam Gallardo) sends us lectures to answer those unfamiliar questions to us. It brings me to realization that it is not only the teacher who’ll always feed knowledge inside the room. But we , also as a student should know how beneficial reading was to gain knowledge.

Unfortunately, i’m not able to finish the given tasked to this subject yet because of the things needed to accomplished as soon as possible. This week taught me how to manage my time well and proper so that all task will be finished congruently.

WEEK 12: ACTING SKILLS GOT TESTED ONCE AGAIN.

Tuesday this week, th ABCD’s in writing an objective is once again discussed by our professor to make things clearer for us to use that method in teaching years from now. The said model is a simple way in building a well-defined objectives for the educators. The letters stands for a different part of leaning objective. These different parts answer four questions about an objective: who, what, how and how well.

“A” stands for actor such as “the learner” or “you.” Other times, you may identify the actor by his or her job role, such as “the customer service representative” or “the press operator.” Regardless, remember that each learning objective states something that the actor must be able to do after the training. This is the “WHO?” of your objective.

“B” stands for behavior where every learning objective should state something that the learner must do—a behavior of some sort. This may be something as simple as stating a definition or explaining a process, or it may be something more “physical,” such as performing an action. But it must be some form of observable behavior, not something not observable like “know,” “understand,” or “appreciate.” This is the “WHAT?” of your objective. Ideally, the behaviors of your learning objectives will mirror tasks the workers will actually perform on the job. That’s the point of workforce training, after all–to teach people to perform their job tasks.

Many times, the learner will have to perform the learning objective’s behavior within a set of given Conditions (which letter C stands for) . Example, you might say “given a list of words, circle the ones that are part of a given machine,” or “given a wrench, tighten this bolt,” or “given a schematic diagram, correctly identify the machines in a work area.” This is the “HOW?” of your objective.

Lastly, the part of the learning objective explains the criteria for performing the task well enough which refers to the Degree . Examples here include “in less than ten minutes,” or “with 90% accuracy,” or “90 times an hour.” This is the “HOW WELL?” of your objective.

On Wednesday, nine themes of digital citizenship are divided into a groups to perform a skit portraying each theme. We are the last group to perform and the assigned theme for us is the Security (self-protection): electronic precautions to guarantee safety.

GOOD EFFECT

Our group presented two different scenarios where the first one is the good effect of having security password on the ATM card Jessa have. While the second one showed how bad it would be if one person forgot to logout his social media account in the computer shop. Hackers are always there and that was the bad effect we acted.

BAD EFFECT

This are the things happened for this week. Both activities help us to gain more knowledge for us to be aware about being Digitally citizen in the world of education.

WEEK 11: PUERTO OVER TOUR <3

The exam is done and it is time for some fun. School tour for College of teacher education is scheduled this week ( Wednesday for the first batch and Thursday for the second batch) and our section, BSED 1A is grouped with the first batch. Unexpectedly, as SK Chairperson of our respective barangays , Me and Romel Mercurio ( one of my classmate and also a chairperson in Majayjay) are asked by our Barangay treasurer last weekend if we want to join the upcoming Skills Enhancement Training on Good Governance for Barangay officials on the same day of our tour. It is difficult for us to join both of the event so we should choose only one where to go. A lot of time and courage for us to talk with our adviser, Dr. Daran to the situation that we have and to say that we rather go to the training than to Manila where the tour takes place. Fortunately, she allowed us to not to join the tour but felt sorry that we can’t get the refund although it is fine for the both of us as long as we are on the list and exempted from the activity that will be done by those who’s not joining. We both agreed with that and things settled.

CO-BARANGAY OFFICIALS
CO-SK CHAIRPERSONS

It is a three days seminar held in Puerto Galera , Mindoro, and a lot of first time i have experienced that is to be treasured. This place mesmerized me and i promised to myself to go back here once i can afford together with my future special someone.

The things i have learned, experiences and friendships built in this place and event will forever remains in my heart.

MIDTERMS WEEK (WEEK 10)

Three-fourths of the school year is about to end and its time to assess our knowledge by different midterm examinations given by the professors.

It was second day of this week (Tuesday) when our professor in Technology for teaching and learning gave her exam to us. Multiple choice type of exam seemed to be easy at first but as i read the questions and choices, confusions in my mind came. It takes two to three times i read each questions before i totally understand and picked an answer for me to reach a good score.

I know that i did my best to answer test questions in all examination not only to this subject that we had. I hope good scores will came and enough for me to get an average grade for this time. Only the prayers and perseverance i invested in studying is the things that made me hope but if my best wasn’t good enough, i’ll accept it.

WEEK 9: MODEL BEFORE MID-TERMS

The last model before the fast approaching mid terms for next week about to come is ADDIE MODEL. Our professor is not feeling well and her voice is not in the mood to discussed this model to us that’s why she gave a task for us to explain each part of ADDIE model by our own understanding with the picture below.

Sadly that she’s not feeling well but we knew that she really want us to learn considering the fact that her voice cannot but the trust she gave for each of us to learn by ourselves boost each and everyone’s eagerness to do their best in explaining the model.

ADDIE as stated in the picture above stands for Analyze, Design, Developed, Implement and Evaluate. We must first Analyze the Instructional Goals, Target audience and required resources before we design the learning solution that aligns the objectives and strategies with instructional goals that is to be called as Design. Next is to developed the learning resources, validate and revise drafts and conduct a pilot test. Followed by the implementation of the learning solution by preparing the learning space and engaging the participants. Lastly is to evaluate the quality of the learning resources indicating how will they accomplish instructional goals.

As the days of this weeks past, the pressure on me is on because the midterm examination next week will tell if i really understand the lessons i wrote in the past 9 weeks of this blogs. I hope i can make it. In G’s name. MIDTERMS, HERE WE COME!

WEEK 8: ANOTHER HELPFUL ONE

Another helpful lesson for us future educators is presented and feed our mind in ways of teaching students which is the ASSURE Model developed by Hinich, Molenda, Russel and Smaldino by year 1999. It is a procedural guide for planning and delivering instruction that incorporates media, assumes that training or instruction really is required.

The first step as indicated in the picture above is to analyzed the learners. followed by determining or stating what goal should be achieved as called as ” objectives”.It maybe derived from a needs assessment or a course syllabus, stated in a text-book, taken from a curriculum guide, or developed by the instructor. the ABCD’s of well Stated Objectives are also discussed. It’s stands for Audience, Behavior, Conditions and Degree. Audience refers on what the learner is doing, not on what the teacher is doing.Behavior as the heart of objective is the verb describing the new capability that the audience will have after instruction . A statement of objectives should include the conditions under which performance is to be observed , if such conditions are relevant. The final requirement of a well stated objective is to indicate the standard by which acceptable performance will be judged to be called as degree.

Therefore i concluded that a well planned and organized steps of making an objective is very important in achieving a very well balanced discussion.
